You will probably find that the small amount of water that has found its way to the bilge after you corrected the shower is that remaining under the cabin sole at the foot of the companionway. This section cannot drain properly into the bilge as there are sections not connected by limberholes to the bilge. Best to take this section of cabin sole up and sponge out, otherwise it will keep draining in small quantities for a period of weeks.
