- We have taken the boat out and found in places the antifouling has flaked back to the GRP . Has anyone had this happen and know why ? Also what is the solution 🤔 Thanks
Most likely due to repeated overcoating without properly removing old AF. So, remove all the old AF and, in areas where it is exposed to GRP, sand back and fare the edges of the primer to smooth, taking care not to damage the GRP. If necessary e.g. If damaged, reseal the GRP with epoxy then apply primer and then apply new coats of AF
