i HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A 2003 BAVARIA 44 STEERING
Having investigated a clonking noise on my boat whilst under sailed it looks as though is is coming from the steering box.the box is slightly loose right where the box is fibreglassed into the deck.the metal plate that the box is attached too is fine and tight however where the plate is glassed into the deck is slightly loose.it looks as though there migh be 4 bolts coming from the deck might be working loose.the proble m i have is how do you tighten up the blts without taking the plate from the fibreglass and causing a lot of damage. Anybody got any ideas cos i cant believe what i am actually seeing

I should its a twin wheel and now have attached a photo.its loose at tghe point where the motoe is attached to the metal plate which is fibreglassed into the deck
