Hi,
Could someone suggest the best / cheapest source of Whitlock steering parts in UK please? I understand Lewmar are now the manufacturers. And am I correct in thinking my boat has a constellation system?
The conduit end fitting has broken in the pedalstall and before taking it apart I’d like to source the repair parts. While I’m at it, does anyone have experience of upgrading the autopilot engagement to one which doesn’t need the mechanical lever on the wheel? I guess thats a new motor assembly. Drove a Beneteau recently where it was just a button push – bliss!

Sorry to reply to my own post, but most answers are in the Lewmar autopilot manual. Essentialy it’s just another chain and cog arrangement on the wheel shaft with the new autopilot motor fitted below.
