      Hi
Has anyone with a B34 (our’s is 2000) had trouble with broken latches on the locker under the basin in the heads?

Ours. like many other Bavarias, has two plastic turn latches one above the other.
Now both are broken and I would like to find out where to find spares.
      Any ideas?

Clipper Marine are becoming a lot more serious about providing parts support for existing Bavaria Owners and they now have a dedicated member of staff to go out and find the bits that we as boat owners need, either direct from Bavaria Yachtbau or the parts manufacturer themselves.

should hopefully take you to their spares enquiry page and they will try and help you out.
        Regards

Paul, did you find replacement latches?
I have a 34 same age and one of my latches has just disintegrated.
          Cheers

            Gentlemen….

It just so happens that I’ve had to replace the heads hatch on my 2002 B32 (hinge failed), but the two catches are fully serviceable. I imagine that the hatch I’ve replaced is similar to that fitted to the B34 so if you’re interested I’ll happily cannibalise mine and share the two catches between you. I’ll send a pic if that helps.

I’ve found replacements at Arthurs Chandlery, Mumby Rd Gosport Tel 02392 526522.
The makers are Nuovo Rade and quote part number 44197.
They only cost £4.70 and arrived within a week.
