      As I was the original poster I’m sure I can answer for all those who have a folding/feathering prop. The answer is that the increased performance under sail far outways any anode problems and any loss of performance under engine.
      Putting the folding prop on Sundance was the best £600 I’ve spent on the boat.

          And me too!! The Brunton’s feathering prop ‘does exactly what it says on the tin’. Same boat speed at 500 engine rpm less, no loss of performance going astern and between 1/2 and 3/4 kt faster under sail. Downside is the cost but worth it and you do need to keep an eye on anode erosion; mine lasts a season, just.
