Hi All,

Out sailing today – beautiful weather – unfortunately my Raymarine Smart Pilot S1 Wheel drive came apart and showered the deck with ball bearings. Has anyone tried to repair a similar problem or is it a job of the specialists? Also can you recommend a good source of spares?

UPDATE – I contacted Raymarine who were most helpful. I have now replaced the ball bearings relatively easily and have reinstalled the system. Fortunately it is not very difficult. The original installers of the wheel pilot had left out part of the installation kit which caused the initial failure.
