Ray marine Distance log doesn’t work. Find handbook difficult to follow. Any tips to reset? B32

Had a quick look and found the following information to reset the units to the original Raymarine settings (not Bavaria factory settings):

If it is a Raymarine ST60 speed unit:
Hold down SPEED and TRIP for 12 seconds.
Screen should show DEALER CAL
Hold down TIMER and RESET for about 2 seconds
Screen should show CAL ON
Press SPEED
Screen should show SPEED R and a number
Press SPEED
Screen should show VMG R and a number
Press Speed
Screen should show BOATSHOW OFF
Press SPEED
Screen should show RESET NO
Press RESET
Screen should change to RESET YES
Press SPEED
Screen should show CAL ON
Hold down the SPEED and TRIP buttons for more than 2 seconds
Unit should now be reset.

This will return everything to the original factory settings so it may mean that the speed made need re-calibration etc.

If it is a Raymarine ST60 Plus tri-data unit:
Hold down DEPTH and SPEED for 12 seconds.
Screen should show Dlr CAL
Hold down TRIP and RESET for longer than 2 seconds
Screen should show CAL ON
Press DEPTH
Screen should show CAL OFF
Press DEPTH
Screen should show CAL, Speed, a number and rE5P
Press DEPTH
Screen should show DEPTH, a number, CAL and rE5P
Press DEPTH
Screen should show CAL, OFF, b5
Press DEPTH
Screen should change to CAL, no, rE5Et
Press RESET
Screen should show CAL, YES, rE5Et
Press DEPTH
Screen should show CAL ON
Hold down the DEPTH and SPEED buttons for more than 2 seconds
Unit should now be reset.

This will return everything to the original factory settings so you will need to double check the depth settings to ensure you can be confident in the information displayed. Your speed may also require re-calibration.

Is it just the distance not working or is the speed not functioning either?

Stupid question, have you checked the paddle wheel?
