      Can anyone recommend the best sealant for resealing hatches, pulpit / pushpit bases and stanchion bases?

        If it helps below is a list of the recommended applications for Sikaflex products.

        Personally I would use 291 for the tasks you list although I know some people prefer to use 295 UV for hatches.

          What is the best one to use around the joint of the keel to the hull, as the original mastic has perished in places and i intend to replace all of it

            Hi Ed,

            Personally I would use the 291, however the sealant needs to fully cure before being painted over as it uses atmospheric humidity to cure.

            The attached data sheet indicates the length of the curing times which could be as high as 11 days depending on the thickness of the joint, the higher the humidity, the quicker the curing times.
