      Hi Ed

I don’t understand your reference to 2 immersion heaters. AFAIK there is only one immersion heater (working on 240V mains) and one heating coil using hot water from the engine in a ‘normal’ calorifier.

Can you explain your problem again, please.

        Hi Rog

Sorry my mistake, 1 immersion heater with 2 thermostats, but only 1 thermostat has a cut out switch, and this obviously thinks the other thermostat is faulty and allowing the water to overheat, so the cut out comes into operation. This is no problem until connected to shore supply and using the hot water, then when no more hot water i need to access the imersion heater and reset the trip switch.

Umm – I’m still not really understanding the problem. I have never seen an immersion heater with 2 thermostats.

Where is each thermostat/sensor situated and how are they wired?
