I have just bought a 2006 Bavaria 33. It has two water tanks – one in the stern and the other in the bows. Are the two tanks directly connected or is there a valve somewhere which I must operate to switch from one to the other? There is no mention of the forward tank in the handbook.

My last boat a 2003 B44 and current B46 Cruiser both have a switch next to the pump. I would doubt that your 33 would be any different. Listen for and find that and you’ll locate the tap/switch, which changes from one to the other.

I currently own a 2003 B36 which has two tanks.  The after tank is under the port aft cabin bunk.  In front of that is a “Fwd/aft” lever valve to switch from on to the other.  They are both operated from the single pump, again located by the after tank.  Hope that helps.

              Hi Bernard,

We have a 2006 Bavaria 33 as well and it only has the stern tank as standard. I therefore assume the bow tank was fitted as an extra by the factory or afterwards.

              Best regards,

              Michael
