Hi,

Has anyone got any experience of a 19hp engine in a Bavaria 36? I am looking at buying such a boat but thought the normal engine size for a 36 was 28hp.

had 19hp in the bav 34 found it was just on its limit in rough weather neads 28 hp to give little more oomph but other wise found it ok
have just bought bav 37 with 28 hp will find out this season if the engine is big enough

have a good christmas and a good sailing season in 2007

The 19 HP in my 32 is only just big enough. Think you’ll be struggling in a 36 with only 19 horses.
