The midship Hull Ports on our B39 are leaking. It’s worse when beating in heavy sea’s. I presume the cause is the hull flexing. The forward and aft Hull Ports are fine.
I removed and resealed both Ports. The port side i resealed using 6mm black foam tape, with a bit of silicone as back up. It still leaked but not as badly. I then spoke to Lewmar who recommended siliconeing them in place – i did this on the stbd side and again the situation improved but wasn’t cured.
Has anyone else had and cured this problem?
