The engine hours on my rev counter are no longer being displayed, despite removing the rev counter and keeping it in my airing cupboard for a few weeks, but the rev counter is working fine in itself. Does anybody have a remedy other than installing a seperate hour meter……Ed Holmes 8)

We have a similar problem in that our engine hours meter has a intermitent fault – it flashes on & off for a while and is then fine. Had an electronics wizz look at it who said it was almost certainly bad connections, but after cleaning up it was no better, though recently it’s been ok.

Have decided to fit a completely seperate engine hours meter as can get one on eBay for around £20 which will solve the problem permanently, then will not need to take the rev counter home to dry out in the winter…..Ed Holmes
