I know that it’s becoming a popular passtime to replace your halogen downlights with LED units in order to reduce the leccy usage.

Has anyone here done this, and have the old downlights in a box somewhere that they no longer want?

Some of mine have gone a bit pitted and choroded, and I’d like to replace them, and I’m not worried about the amount of leccy they use, as I have a HUGE battery bank.

    Cheers

I have a the old festoon lights in my vintage 1997 Bavaria, but have installed a 1mtr long LED light in the saloon, which is a lot brighter than all 4 festoon lights, and uses less power than 1 of them, but will stick to the old festoon lights in the cabins as these are never switched on for long periods. I also have the dry battery type of LED lights in the cabins as these make excellent reading lights. Ed Holmes, Storm Dragon 8)
