Now that I have posted in the correct section…

Are any of you 40 Ocean owners out there willing to share with me the last four digits of your HIN?. Mine is L001 but Bavaria tell me this should not be possible on a 40 Ocean?

I had been led to believe that L001 stands for Built December 2000 (L0) and the model year is 2001 (01).

Hi Roger,

My HIN last four digits are, “J001,” which I understand to mean she was commissioned in January 2001. I have seen the HIN explanation of the Bavaria HIN System in my Owner’s Manual. The Manual is on the boat and right now I am not, so I’m not able to give you a better idea at the moment. I hope this helps.

BTW, I’m really liking the Ocean 40… the more time I spend on Nashira, the more I like her!
