Hi everyone,
I’ve read a few posts on the old forum about fitting a holding tank to a 38 Ocean but have had no luck so far contacting the various contributors.
I’m after some info on the hows and how-nots to install a holding tank in the engine room of a 38 Ocean. My boatyard is trying to convince me the only place it will go is the starboard hanging locker in the aft cabin. Now I’ve not mentioned it yet but I suspect my other half will have something to say about giving up her valuable wardrobe space for something so unfetching as a holding tank.
I’ve heard of people installing them in the engine room (the other half thankfully doesn’t use that yet as a wardrobe) but need some details on how the various pipes are routed.
Any info very gratefully received!

Hi Andy

We have a 38 Ocean (Year 2000) with the factory fitted holding tank. I had some correspondance a couple of years ago with an owner in Scotland about fitting a tank so I took some pictures of my installation. If you send me your email address (use the Private Message facility) I can send copies of what I have and we can take it from there.

We can also compare notes on the rest of the boat!
