I have a persistant leak into the port side cupboard above my cooker.
I have sealed the stanchions above on the deck as a temporary measure but this has not fixed it.

Can anyone give me a steer as to the likely sources of such a leak and also how to remove the stanchion fixed nuts. They seem to be too tight to shift?

Hi Peter

I’ve a 2001 Bavaria 34 several years back I decided to remove all the stanchions and toe rail ‘s I was horrified there was hardly any sealant as the deck sandwiches onto the hull. I ended up re-sealing the whole yacht just to be in the safe side That was back in 2007 I think I’ve never had a problem since. Your leak could be coming in any place on the port-side and running down
