Hi Guys, i know we all hate having to get the boat lifted out and pressure washed ready to receive the new coating of anti foul because of the cost, but has anybody ever tried Kingston Marine in Cowes. Last year the charge in Gosport to lift out, pressure wash, chock and relaunch 48hrs later was around £300 for my 35ft yacht, but at Kingston Marine in Cowes the charge was £150, and so what if you have to stay on board for 2 nights, they have showers etc and only a 15 min walk to east Cowes. The service is good and everything on the island is no rush, and this years price has only increased to £160, which represents a big saving on mainland prices

You could also try drying out on a club piles/post, pressure wash, refloat next tide, quick hose,1 hr dry and get stuck in to new antifoul. just enough time to dry before 2nd tide. That way you pay club fee for 2 tides on posts, my club £12 !plus £6 for pressure wash use plus paint £60 Hardway Gosport!
