Having put up with a new replacement linear gauge from Clipper that got me into trouble several times I checked my old original Turotest non-linear gauge and found that a resistor on the back was open circuit. I soldered a new 100 ohm resistor on top and it is now working OK, The resitance from the sender is about 180 ohms on full, 110 on 1/2 and 2 on empty which matches the original gauge. The new gauge from clipper did not match and no one seemed to know the sender resistance.

Thought this may help someone else.
