The oil pressure alarm on our D1-30 sometimes sounds when the throttle lever is put into gear, either ahead or astern. Increasing revs or going back into neutral stops the alarm. Anyone else had this problem and/or can suggest what is causing it?

      Thanks……………David.

Low revs causing low oil pressure. Nothing to worry about.

Speed up the tickover if you want to stop it.

Worth checking your oil level too!
And perhaps timely for an oil and filter change to ensure no blockage.

Thanks for the replies. Oil level was fine and the oil and filter were changed last month. I think I’ll try raising the idle revs and see if that cures it, though throttling up and back again still sets it off when it’s doing it, which is only occasionally. Cheers!
