      Just had a worrisome experience on Freebird, Bavaria 30:
      Leaving the marina I suddenly lost motive power. An underwater investigation revealed no propeller, although the rubber “boss” remained on the sail drive shaft.
      It seems that the rubber boss detached from the propeller and the propeller spun off.
      Is this a usual occurrence? There was no evidence of line being caught.
