So it’s time to change the oil in my sail drive and I would like to hear your thoughts on Volvo’s recommendation to change from ATF to engine oil.
My boat is a 2007 40Vision, with a volvo penta D2 55 engine and 130S sail drive.
Sail drives 2010 onwards are filled with 15 W-40 and Volvo are recommending ALL drives are changed to this at next oil change.
Any doubters out there, or is this now universally accepted? Have had no problems (so far) with clutch slippage.
