Could anybody tell me how I find my sail number? I have a B30 which I bought in June 2013, it was built in 2006 and the sail number on the main sail is 30. I believe that this is reference to the length of the hull and not the sail number. Is this correct? If so where will I find the sail number?

Wow! that was a quick reply. Thanks Ian.
I will be contacting the RYA in the new year.
        Have a good one.

          Hello Horizon

You have to apply to the RYA for a sail number (i e the ‘GBR 1234’ variety). Might be worth contacting them to see if one has been allocated to your boat; the ‘B30’ on the sail refers to the Bavaria “type”. If you’re a member of the RYA number allocation is free, if not I think they charge £30 or thereabouts. Hope this helps….

          Best regards

I have my sail number from the rya and have ordered the stick on decals for both sides of the main sail. Is there any specific position on the sail to put the ie in class rules?
