I need to know urgently if the shaft coupling on my ocean 47 is full length or half length. I can’t get to the boat to look. The engine is a VP TMD22 with mechanical gearbox and shaft drive.

I’ve got a 49 with the same engine and drive, so if you give me a clue what I’m looking for, I’ll take a look when I’m on the boat later today and upload a photo for you.

I probably saw your post too late. Where the shaft joints the gearbox here is the coupling – probably a bit rusty by now. If there are only 2 fixing bolts side by side its a half coupling – if 3 or 4 bolts its a full coupling. Thanks for the interest Chris

Ok, just looked, and mine has 3 bolts (with Allen Key heads) each side.
