      I’m about to replace my anchor rode and wanted to use 14mm anchorplait in the rope part. It seems that S&L recommend 3 strand for working on their gypsey. The splice to the chain with 3 strand is strong but is only through 1 link so has to be regularly checked for chafe.

      I guess this S&L anchor winch is standard on Bavaria’s circa 1999.

      Has anybody used anchorplait successfully on a S&L anchor winch ?
