Anyone have a suggestion on the best type of lubrication to use on the steering linkage chains, both primary and secondary (I have a 2009 b31 with a secondary chain from a Lewmar Integra autopilot drive unit).

Currently the chains are dry except for what appears to be powdered graphite.

I’ve had spray on chain wax recommended.

Hi Everyone,
I have replied to this post but actually have a question relating to the turnbuckle fittings at the end of the steering Chain.
I have a 2006 Bav 39 and I recently noticed that one of the End fittings is slightly bent. I inspected it and could find any cracks but was wondering if anybody new where I might buy a new one.

Try Clipper Marine they seem to be able to get any part you want.
