Hi everyone,

Scirocco’s engine has just started to loose antifreeze. There are no external leaks. I guess this could be a head gasket failure or a heat exchanger failure. The engine starts and runs ok. Do you have any clues regarding how to find out where the problem is ?

If it’s not leaking out into the bilge, it must be going into the engine, so I suspect you’re right about the head gasket or heat exchanger.

You could check your compression by screwing a meter into the plug fitting and turn the engine over. This should show if it is the head gasket.
