Hi we had a small leak from the holding tank which seaped into the bilge. I would like to give the whole bilge a wash out. Has anybody done this? It is not so simple as it seems, as the bilge has cross members which is where the holding has leaked into. You have no access to the cross members other than the small holes drilled in them. Any thoughts – or should I just go for it and pump it out?

Hi, before you go for your next sail put some water and bilge cleaner in the bilge and let it slop around for the day or longer if possible, then just pump it out. Repeat or just rinse again if necessary.
