The sales brochures say 2000kg. the drawing I have of the keel says 2130kg! Why understate the keel weight when the ballast ratio is actually higher?
Could it be that the keel fitted is the same as another size yacht such as a 38 and they want to use the same keel? I’ve looked at the later 38 and it looks the same – but may not be. When cutting costs its sensible to reduce the number of keels produced.
So if you have a 2007 37 and you have calculated a ballast ration of 29% from the sales literature, it may actually be 31%.
