Ian I agree with the LED answer (it was my assumption too).
I have also had problems with the water level meter. I traced it to a connection in the wiring to the the sender unit (in out case it was under the rear cabin bed. My guess is that it can be displaced (ie slightly disconnected) when servicing the engine (Or whenever the bed boards are moved) . In my case I squeezed them together and all was well. May be the same with the holding tank? To access that you would have to remove the wooden panel.
While I’m here why can’t I navigate to the forum home, have to use the back button. I am unable to create a post (no link to do so) and page says I have to be a member. Yet here I am replying to a post, though from past experience it’ll be a month, if I’m lucky, before it will be answered.
Sorry Chris if you feel I’ve Hijacked your post.
Clearly no one is listening! Two rejected “Discount Codes” And they are still showing as live. I paid £20 to join yet there is NO RESPONSE to genuine queries about the content on the site.
Also why does it keep asking me to pay to join when I’m logged on as a paid member?
Also Can the text in the Forum be made bigger and in a darker colour so that it is readable please.
Personally I find this free forum much quicker to respond to any posts https://bavariayacht.org/forum/index.php
A Quick google and follow through got me here https://jieter.github.io/orc-data/site/#BUL/BUL34
A B34 not sure of the year but it has a polar diagram
Thanks for the reply Dave, I’m awash with liferafts lol I have access to a valise 4 man and the one mention in my post. Both need servicing, The Valise LR is just over 3 years old, the other 9 years old but serviced regularly by my B in L. I’m wondering if I can get the valise LR fitted into the cradle canister when I go to get it serviced. If not I’ll go with the canister fitted like yours as there’s no way we could easily pull it out of a locker, filled with Dinghy, lines water hoses, electric cables and all the boats fenders. On a previous boat (Hanse 311) there was a nice gap just big enough for a valise LR in front of the steering pedestal, Out of the way during a voyage yet easily to hand if needed. There’s no such space on my Bav 34 as the Pedstal and attached table fill the cockpit floor.
Hi hope you’ve sorted this by now?
I can’t comment on your problem, I’ve only recently purchased my B34 Cruiser 2008. The Steaming light was flashing on the display, the survey confirmed this was due to a blown bulb. I have replaced this with an LED equivalent, however, the display light still flashing as if its a faulty light but it definitely is working.
Did you find a reason/solution to your problems?
Hi Davefortey, did you ever get this sorted? My brother in law has just given me a liferaft and cradle (I have to get the raft serviced). I have a recently purchased Bavaria 34 Cruiser. Like you my push pit is too small for the cradle and a valise is too heavy to get out from the bottom of the big cockpi locker. I’d be very interested in your solution 🙂
I too have had a discount code rejected when I tried NJO sails. I tried online following the instructions and couldn’t get it to work, so emailed the company and part of the reply was this ”
I am confused about your discount code? I have no idea what that relates to, I do best price at all times and do not offer discounts or do discount codes.
”
Perhaps, some one responsible for the site content should check that any codes displayed are still valid. There aren’t many and so far two have failed.
